Glenise in Anglesey

 Day 7 Beaumaris to Llanfairpwhll...............gogogoch We could hardly believe our luck this morning - the sun was shining once again as we did washing, hung it out on the line, made a casserole for tea in the slow cooker and all before 9am 🤣, then we headed out to Beaumaris to begin a short 8 mile walk 😄. We strolled up to Llandegfan, then wended our way downwards to Menai Strait en route to the day's finish at Llanfair PG. This was a very steep hill - the camera lies! First donkeys of the week, living a very comfortable luxurious life overlooking Menai Strait 🐎 Bird's Eye View of Bangor Garth Pier that leads out from Bangor https://bangorpier.org/ Brew time at Llandegfan As Glenise (bless her, she's doing sooooooo well🤗) needed another rest day, Sue and I got our dog fix from 2 lovely local ladies out walking their dogs.  Quote of the day from the lady in purple said with the best Welsh lilt, "You 'ave to be mad to be 'appy!!"  Very true/profound ...

 Day 6 Pentraeth to Beaumaris The coastal route follows a wall and boardwalks around Red Wharf Bay from Pentraeth.  Fine, but chilly - out with the hat today. Stopped for a cuppa at Llandona, good conveniences but make your own brew - good job Alan was carrying his billycan and gas stove.  Chatted with a lovely lady called Mandy and her family with pet dog Penny who kindly gave a donation to our walk for GD.  Thanks, Mandy and Penny 💓 First short sharp shower of the week, thankfully only lasted 20 mins but enough to feel the chill 🌧 Answers on a postcard, please, to this one!! Moelfre to Pentraeth The day began well again as the starting point of the path was a diversion!!! We eventually managed to find a way round this and set off on a very beautiful walk through fields and country paths.  The next section of the walk was on cliff tops much to our concern, but this time the limestone cliffs were well covered in vegetation to break our potential falls! Also the path was wider and better protected than the North coastal path. We met a few dogs on the way which was a bit hairy for Gill who was holding Glenise and had to let her know that the cliff top is not such a good place for a game!  Benllech was eventful as we actually stopped for coffee in a local pub and Gill got involved with the knit and natter group (!!)  and gained a very generous donation for our cause from a very kind lady.  The walk to Red Wharf Bay was very beautiful in wall to wall sunshine and Alan met us for yet another brew before we wended our way to Pentraeth.  Thi...
