Day 6 Pentraeth to Beaumaris

The coastal route follows a wall and boardwalks around Red Wharf Bay from Pentraeth.  Fine, but chilly - out with the hat today.

Stopped for a cuppa at Llandona, good conveniences but make your own brew - good job Alan was carrying his billycan and gas stove.  Chatted with a lovely lady called Mandy and her family with pet dog Penny who kindly gave a donation to our walk for GD.  Thanks, Mandy and Penny πŸ’“

First short sharp shower of the week, thankfully only lasted 20 mins but enough to feel the chill 🌧

Answers on a postcard, please, to this one!!

Still around the same bay, but changing terrain

Not our graffiti!!!  Maybe one of Alan's ancient ancestors vandalising the sandstone rockface?  Or maybe the party of geography field trip students we met on our way round the Penrhyn bay?

Another dark cloud and a short shower, but quickly blows over 🀟

Feeeling all of those 67 years today!!!  A seat....how considerate, as we reached the end of an 11 mile day πŸ‘

A very sickly tree oozing tarlike pus - again, answers on a postcard, please!

A short section on the road, Beaumaris just around the corner........

The limbs were feeling the effect of the longer walk today, sitting on first bench I saw overlooking Beaumaris, too tired to notice the cows were approaching...........no wonder Sue wouldn't let Glenise up to join me!!  I was totally oblivious to the possible cow charge gathering behind me 😏

we don't think the ferris wheel does much to enhance beautiful Beaumaris 😞

Glenise had a day off with Sue today, but came to taxi us back to a warm shower, slow cooker delights and bed.  Cumulative miles of the last week took their toll on everyone this evening πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ›Œ but the team is half way round the island πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
